UCLA School Of Dentistry Receives $1.5 million For Community-Based Education

New program, funded by Delta Dental of California, will widen dental care access for California's most vulnerable patient populations

LOS ANGELES, California — The UCLA School of Dentistry has received a $1.5 million grant from the state's largest dental benefits provider, Delta Dental of California, to support launching a community-based clinical education program. The award, which will support UCLA student dentists to care for some of the most vulnerable patients in California, is the largest that Delta Dental has ever given a dental school.

PHILADELPHIA, PennsylvaniaPenn Dental Medicine's largest clinic for comprehensive restorative patient care and clinical instruction has been transformed throughout with a state-of-the-art renovation mdash the new Robert I. Schattner Clinic, previously known as the Main Clinic, opened for operation on January 2. Yesterday, January 11, the Penn Dental Medicine community officially celebrated the new space with a special open house event and tours of the facility and recognized former Dean Denis Kinane for his leadership role in helping to bring the renovation to fruition.
