Dental Students Can Receive Up To $120K In Tax-Free Loan Repayment

National Health Service Corps accepting applications for 2018 Students to Service Loan Repayment Program

WASHINGTON, District of Columbia — The S2S LRP provides up to $120,000 in tax-free loan repayment to dental and medical students in their final year of school, allowing them to pursue their passion for delivering care while working in rural, tribal and high-need communities throughout the nation. 2018 marks the second year that dental students are included as an eligible discipline to address the oral health disparities that remain a concern in under-served areas.

Army Educates Residents At The Texas A&M College Of Dentistry

Pediatric dentistry resident receives Army promotion, highlights military tradition

When the U.S. Army chooses to educate a pediatric dentist to serve the children of military families, it always uses the Texas A&M College of Dentistry as its training site. When the college first began training residents for the Army in the early 1980s, it was one of several sites around the country, but now, it’s the only one for pediatric dentistry. The graduate program regularly accepts one to two Army dentists per year.

Up To $50,000 Awarded By California Loan Repayment Program

Applications are being accepted through Oct. 1 for 2017 California State Loan Repayment Program

SACRAMENTO, California — The State Loan Repayment Program (SLRP) assists health care providers, including dentists and dental hygienists, with repayment of qualified educational loans in exchange for their initial commitment to either two years of full-time or four years of half-time service. One-year service extensions are available upon the successful completion of the initial service commitment. The goal of the program is to increase the number of health care providers practicing in federally designated California Health Professional Shortage Areas.
