BENSHEIM, Germany – Version 3.01 of the CEREC 3D software opens up a completely new dimension in the computation of tooth morphology. Dentists are now in a position to create inlays and onlays more quickly and conveniently than ever before. The computer-aided design tool for the occlusal surfaces is of particular benefit to new users who have only limited experience with the CEREC system.

BENSHEIM, Germany – The new CEREC MC XL milling machine delivers such outstanding precision that all-ceramic crowns can now be conventionally cemented. To this end Ivoclar Vivadent has developed a new disilicate glass ceramic material (“IPS e.max CAD”). So far adhesive bonding has been the only option for all-ceramic crowns. Now dentists have no reason to prefer conventional PFM restorations. The high level of precision ( 25 µm) is a direct result of the enhanced MC XL milling system. Compared with the previous CEREC unit, the milling steps are two to four times smaller. The high-quality surface finish reduces the time needed to adapt the restoration to the tooth and mill the occlusal surface.

BENSHEIM, Germany – The new inLab MC XL milling machine builds on the proven features of the existing CEREC system. However, it has been tailored to the tougher requirements of large-sized dental labs. For example, it is equipped with wear-resistant non-geared motors, while the drive shafts are fitted with rubber seals to protect them against ceramic particles.
