Dentists Go Above and Beyond Dental Continuing Education Requirements

TIBURON, California – The average dentist logs about 75 hours of dental continuing education annually, far more than needed to meet state requirements. In a recent dental survey conducted by TheWealthyDentist.com, dentists were asked how many hours of formal continuing education they log per year. Though the most common response was 50 hours a year, a remarkable number of dentists reported 150 or more hours a year.

Dental Resource Center Keeps Gentle Dental Practices Up to Date on New Clinical, Compliance and Business Management Techniques

VANCOUVER, Washington – InterDent Service Corporation, a leading provider of dental practice management services, announced today the rollout of the Dental Resource Center (DRC) to its 130 dental practices. The DRC is a part of Gentle Dental University, the company's Web-based learning site. The resource center offers 190 e-learning modules covering not only dentistry, but everything a dental practitioner needs to know to run a successful business, including clinical skills, compliance, office management and patient education. The e-learning modules run eight to 15 minutes long and the dental practice modules are mostly 3D animations providing accurate "movies" of new clinical techniques that dentists or dental hygienists can put to use immediately. Many of the modules have CE credits and manufacturers can also sponsor training modules to educate dentists on new products. Gentle Dental, together with its sister offices, serves the dental needs of thousands of patients throughout eight states.

Nobel Biocare Introduces New Worldwide Education Program For Dental Professionals "To Join Forces For The Benefit Of Patients"

GOTHENBURG, Sweden – Nobel Biocare will introduce a new continuing and post-graduate education program in a series of 17 training and education conferences on four continents around the world. The "Nobel Biocare World Tour 2006" will start on 9 March in Frankfurt and end on 18 November in Barcelona. Nobel Biocare expects around 30,000 participants to attend these training and education events.
