VANCOUVER, British Columbia – BC's sandwich generation will likely be helping to care for their aging parents' oral health in addition to that of their own children, says the BC Dental Association. April is Oral Health Month and the BC Dental Association's annual campaign is focusing on seniors' oral care.

BUFFALO, New York – A survey of seniors' access to dental care conducted by researchers at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and Buffalo State College presents a sobering picture of the dental needs and barriers to dental care experienced by seniors.

OTTAWA, Ontario – Forty-nine per cent of seniors believe that tooth loss and declining oral health are inevitable as we grow older, according to a recent public opinion survey conducted by the Canadian Dental Association (CDA).

ALBANY, New York – The New York State Dental Foundation will receive a $40,000 grant to help improve older adults’ access to oral health care through a fund set up by GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (GSK) and the American Dental Association Foundation. GSK Consumer Healthcare donated $250,000 last year to the ADAF to establish the Access to Oral Health Care for Older Adults Initiative.
