The architect of the Oregon Health Plan, Kitzhaber’s latest proposal, the ‘Archimedes Movement’, seeks “To maximize the health of Oregonians by creating a sustainable system which uses the public resources spent on health care to ensure that everyone has access to a defined set of effective health services.”

ODA hosted the Commission meeting in support of dentistry’s sole representative, ODA Immediate Past President Weston W. Heringer, Jr., DMD. The Commission, chaired by Senator Alan Bates (D-Ashland), was formed earlier this year by Senate President Peter Courtney (D-Salem) to recommend ways for the Legislature to cut costs and provide more access to health care.
