SIDEXIS Upgrade Supports Automatic Updating
The latest SIDEXIS XG upgrade marks a further milestone on the way to the fully computerized dental practice. Dentists who decide to upgrade to SIDEXIS XG 1.6 need to install the software on only one computer. This saves a lot of time in a practice with a digital network with several PCs. All the other PCs are updated subsequently by means of an express setup function. SIDEXIS XG 1.6 uses now an SQL database to administer the image files. The SQL database offers faster retrieval times as well as an extended data storage capacity.
The new SIDEXIS software also boasts a convenient update function. The master PC automatically downloads updates from the Internet. Alternatively, the user is informed as soon as new updates become available. The master PC automatically transfers the update to the other PCs in the network.
SIDEXIS XG 1.6 requires Windows 2000 or Windows XP. Windows NT users have the option of installing version 1.53 of SIDEXIS XG. This version supports the new ORTHOPHOS XG firmware (V2.27), but does not include the other new features of SIDEXIS 1.6.
