CHICAGO, Illinois – American Dental Association (ADA) Senior Vice President of Government and Public Affairs William Prentice joined Rep. Elijah Cummings in Baltimore today to announce the ADA’s support for “Deamonte’s Law,” legislation that will help end the silent epidemic of untreated dental disease among the nation’s disadvantaged children.

Kuehl, grand-prize winner in last year’s Stamp Out Spit Tobacco postage stamp design contest, is featured in the 2007 educational comic book along with Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Corey Hart and infielder Rickie Weeks as the B-Force.

SCOTTSDALE, Arizone – Dr. Major McKinley Ash, a world leader and icon in dentistry, died March 21, 2007 in Scottsdale, Arizona after a courageous battle with metastatic bone cancer. He was 85.

CHICAGO, Illinois – The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) recently launched a Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition (LLSR) program to formally recognize a member’s dedication to remain current in their profession and “give back” to the community. Only 23 of these awards were presented in the US and Canada. Richard R Pence, DDS, MAGD of Denver, NC was presented the LL&S Award on February 17th at the NC AGD Meeting in Cary, NC.
