BRISTOL, Tennessee – The 16,000-member Christian Medical & Dental Associations (CMDA), will hold their national meeting June 20-24, 2007 in Orlando, Fl focusing this year on the responsibilities of being a Christian.

Convention speakers include: Ruth Graham, daughter of Ruth and Billy Graham; Rev. Rico Tice, Associate Minister at All Souls Church in London; Dr. Tim Elmore, Founder and President of Growing Leaders and Dr. Haddon Robinson, teacher and Bible Scholar on “Discover the World,” a daily radio program.

CMDA is a national organization with over 80 ministries, including international missions, continuing medical education and a policy arm that educates members and the church on bioethical issues like stem cell research and physician-assisted suicide.

"This year’s convention combines education with spiritual renewal," said David Stevens, MD, CEO of CMDA. "In this day and time in healthcare, it is easy to get to a point of professional ‘burnout.’ We strive to challenge and inspire members while providing a respite and fellowship for doctors and their families who attend."

Session topics include: Risking Our Kids Faith, A Biblical Philosophy of Medicine-the Nonnegotiable Pillar of Christian Medicine, Life as a Medical Wife, Treating the Whole Patient, Especially at Critical Times, Using Scripture in Moral Debate, Forgive to Live, Depression and Grace and Sexual Health Clinical Interventions.

The convention will begin on Wednesday, June 20 and will continue until Sunday, June 24 at the Buena Vista Palace & Resort located in Orlando, FL. Medical experts are available for interviews on a wide variety of topics including reproductive technology, stem cell research, international missions and right of conscience in healthcare.
