Dolphin Introduces Dolphin Imaging Version 9 With AnywhereDolphin™

CANOGA PARK, California – Dolphin Imaging & Management Solutions, one of the worlds leading providers of high quality software solutions for the dental-specialty professions, announced today that it has developed the first-ever Internet-integrated software that allows practitioners to securely share patient records, collaborate with referrals and visually communicate with patients all in a matter of seconds. The revolutionary new software, Dolphin Imaging Version 9 with AnywhereDolphin, will be ready for installation this fall, according to Dolphins Managing Director Chester H. Wang.

Todays practices expect their image program to integration with other programs, such as digital x-ray systems, practice management software and the Internet, said Wang. With practitioners using a variety of application software, it is essential that their imaging program has the capability to interact with those programs.

Dolphin Imaging Version 9 raises the standard for imaging software by being able to connect to all of these application programs, thus helping practices to save time and money, noted Wang.

With Version 9s AnywhereDolphin feature, digital photos and radiographic images stored in ones Dolphin database can be automatically uploaded to a secure Web site hosted by Dolphin. Doctors, colleagues or patients can then access the files safely and securely from their office, at home or on the road — anywhere where there is an Internet connection. They can also collaborate online with colleagues and share back-up and archive files through a simple but secure interface.

The image records can be a variety of files ranging from patients digital photographs, radiographic images, treatment plans, simulations and documents. With 100 megabytes of storage space, a doctor can store around 50 full patient image records.

To ensure security, AnywhereDolphin uses the same technology as banks and investment sites. It provides 128-bit encryption security of ones username, password and image records. Data is stored in physically secure, state-of-the-art servers to ensure against tampering by others or threat by fire or earthquake. AnywhereDolphin enables the ease of accessing records while improving communications and building stronger relationships with colleagues, patients and other professionals, notes Wang.

Among its other improvements, Dolphin Version 9 enhances the ease of capturing images and the precision of the cephalometric tracing process, and makes it possible for users to customize any cephalometric analysis. This release also features improvements to Dolphins popular Arnett/McLaughlin module and the companys orthognathic surgery treatment planning program, which has been made more accurate and easier to use.

Dolphin Imaging Version 9 is fully integrated with Dolphins practice management software, Dolphin Management by reading from and writing to the same database file. Because of this design, there are no extra steps in processing the data fields, such as examining questionnaire entries and scheduling data.

Dolphin strives to be side-by-side partners with the dental specialty community and is committed to provide practices with the latest technology solutions with the smoothest transitions, Wang said. Our new Version 9 is testament to that.

Like all Dolphin software, Version 9 is backed by the companys technical service and support, including a toll-free 800 number and 24-hour email/fax response. A live operator is always available for immediate service. Additional information may be obtained through Dolphins Web site, www.dolphinimaging.com.

Headquartered in Southern California and supported by nearly 50 staff members, Dolphin markets its products throughout the United States and worldwide. The company currently supports nearly 2,500 dental-specialty practices around the globe, and it has an active academic program whereby selected products are donated to various educational programs. Presently, over 50 dental schools in over 75 departments such as orthodontics, maxillofacial surgery, pediatric dentistry and radiology are utilizing Dolphin software on a daily basis.
